The Opportunity

This position works out of our St. Paul, MN location in the Electrophysiology Division. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager / Agile Scrum Master to lead software projects related to medical devices that improve patient outcomes, streamline clinical workflows, and support regulatory compliance. This role bridges agile team facilitation with strategic project oversight, ensuring the successful delivery of software in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

What You’ll Work On

Scrum Master Duties:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) for software development teams.
  • Coach cross-functional teams on Agile principles, with a focus on delivering value in clinical and operational settings.
  • Identify and remove impediments that impact team performance or delivery timelines.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered innovation.
  • Track and report on team metrics such as velocity, sprint progress, and release readiness.

Project Management Duties:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with healthcare compliance standards.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Collaborate with clinical stakeholders and cross functional partners to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on project health and milestones.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile project management, preferably in a healthcare or health IT environment.
  • Proficiency with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and project tracking systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with clinical and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with healthcare industry
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, PMP, or equivalent certification.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and data privacy requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a matrixed healthcare organization.
  • Experience working in a SAFe or hybrid Agile environment.

The base pay for this position is

$97,300.00 – $194,700.00
