We are seeking a MongoDB Database Administrator II eager to advance their career by becoming part of the Zebra team!

Your role will involve emphasizing computerized databases, encompassing relational and No-SQL databases, architecture, documentation, future needs, operational protocols, and security measures. Your responsibilities will include overseeing monitoring, networking, issue resolution, provisioning, and updates.

This is a hybrid role requiring minimum 3-days in the Kennesaw, Georgia office.

Responsibilities:

  • Works collaboratively to support the installation, creation, configuration, implementation, administration and support of Zebra’s database-based applications and other SQL Server databases.
  • Performs L2/L3 support activities (including backup and recovery) and operations including, availability of databases and applications that are implemented to support Zebra’s business tool, while tuning applications and databases for optimal performance.
  • Identifies and implements innovative ideas, including automation of regular tasks to optimize and enhance database operations.
  • Identifies and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions. – Collaborates with the team regarding company-wide, web-enabled solutions.
  • Works closely with Database Team.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relative education required.
  • Minimum 3+ years of work experience.
  • MongoDB Database Administrator experience REQUIRED.
  • Atlas or MongoDB Enterprise DBA experience REQUIRED.
  • Ability to participate in 24X7 on-call rotation Production Support or non-production support (i.e. development, demo, etc.) for business requirements REQUIRED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Relational or No SQL Database Technologies or Database as a Service Cloud SQL experience
  • Basic DevOps experience; Shell, Bash, Python
  • SaaS – cloud architecture experience
  • DB2, Google Cloud SQL, Big Querry will be preferred
  • Experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud provider (i.e. AWS, Azure)
  • Hands on experience with Google Cloud Database, AlloyDB, Postgres is Preferred or any other cloud provider
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to troubleshoot end user issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • MongoDB Certification highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of Cloud Architectural Patterns
  • Experience in documenting and maintaining up to date systems procedures
  • Certifications in Database Technologies preferred
  • Graduate degree or Master’s degree in computer science preferred.
  • Dev-Ops Experience is preferred (i.e. Terraform, Jenkins, Python, Bash, etc.)

Salary: USD 75100.00 - USD 112700.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
