WSP is currently initiating a search for a Part-Time Code Enforcement Official for our Albany, NY Client's Field Office. Be involved in projects with our PMCM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

  • Reports to New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Regional Code Enforcement Officer
  • Overall code compliance via scheduled inspections
  • Completion of Code Inspection reports.
  • Review and comment on special inspection reports submitted and document any deficiencies encountered and to provide deficiency tracking, review corrective actions performed for achieving code compliance.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • Certified by NYS Department of State, Division of Building Standards and Codes
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of the experience in providing code compliance review and construction inspections. shall be in the role of superintendent or inspector responsible for large scale projects, multi-contract building projects, valued above $5 million with an extensive knowledge of all facets of construction and construction documents.
  • Must have a proficient level of knowledge relative to all aspects of construction codes and standards.
  • OSHA 30 Certification Required
  • Proficient in basic computer skills utilizing Windows / Outlook / Word / Excel and scheduling applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license - Occasional travel within the region may be required.
  • Must be available to work alternate work hours on as needed basis.
  • Proven ability to adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • This hire will be contingent upon client selection and successful background check.
  • This position is subject to and contingent upon client approval of candidates put forth for consideration by WSP.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of NYS Building Code
  • OSHA 30 Hour certified required
  • Experience with Institutional / Agency Construction preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.

Expected Salary: $74,200 - $146,900
