The Supervisor, Distribution Center oversees the tasks associated with the distribution center including shipping, receiving, loading and unloading, picking and packing.

This position will serve our Water Heater Division, located in Laredo, TX. 2nd shift (4pm - 12:30am)

  • Develops daily schedules and order assignments.
  • Oversees budgets, manpower and maintenance of department.
  • Trains and directs distribution staff.
  • Ensures safety and regulatory compliance at all times.
  • Monitors and ensures optimal resources utilization within the distribution center.
  • Continually monitor and adjust product pathing for the most efficient processing.
  • Provides direct supervision over distribution staff.
  • Provides performance feedback, coaching and mentoring
  • Maintain warehousing best practices
  • Coordination of carrier equipment inbound and outbound from warehouse
  • Accomplishes warehouse objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
  • University Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in a distribution environment.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others is a matrix team environment.

HOW TO STAND OUT:

  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to operate Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information and inventory reports.
  • Independent thought, good judgment, problem solving skills, and ability to prioritize multiple projects a must.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
