Job Opening: Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Manager
Location: NJ
Full-Time | $100,000–$120,000 (Up to $140,000 for an exceptional candidate)
Position Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Manager to lead our food safety and quality programs. You will work closely with the FSQA team and production staff to make sure our products meet all quality, safety, and legal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve our food safety and quality systems
- Lead and train the FSQA team and support plant staff
- Monitor product quality and food safety checks on production lines
- Manage non-conforming products and authorize product releases
- Keep track of WIP (work-in-progress) inventory and ensure FIFO is followed
- Stay up to date with food safety regulations and certifications
- Lead internal audits and participate in the HACCP team
- Create and deliver food safety and GMP training
Requirements
- Experience in food safety or quality assurance (produce industry is a plus)
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of GMPs and food safety rules
- HACCP, PCQI, SQF or internal audit certifications are a plus
Salary
- $100,000–$120,000/year
- Up to $140,000 for an outstanding candidate
