In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic value, usability and performance of our mobile app – an essential part of our digital ecosystem that deepens customer connections and drives business growth. We’re looking for a product leader who thrives in complexity, navigates ambiguity with confidence, and brings cross-functional teams together to deliver impactful solutions. You will balance customer needs with business goals and use data-driven insights to build, test and refine capabilities that enhance everyday moments and elevate the Starbucks brand.

As a principal product manager, you will…

  • Define and drive the product vision and strategy for our mobile applications
  • Lead the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver intuitive and scalable mobile experiences
  • Conduct market research and leverage customer insights, behavioral data, and emerging technologies to inform product direction
  • Gather and prioritize product requirements based on user feedback, data analysis, and business objectives
  • Partner across product portfolios to build and maintain integrated roadmaps that align with company goals and user needs
  • Communicate product plans, progress, and results to stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives and encourages continuous growth

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on mobile applications
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing mobile apps
  • Strong understanding of mobile app development processes and technologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
  • Passion for creating human-centered products and staying up-to-date with industry trends

  • If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
