Job Role: Machine Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Full time
Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Our client in Mississauga is looking for someone to join their team to maintain their machines. From preventive maintenance to changing parts on the machines and logging all PM and machine related data in the computer.
Responsibilities
- Respond to critical SMT/Wave/Selective/Conformal Coating/Ultrasonic Welding/ Laser Welding machine maintenance
- Ensure downtime is at minimum for continuation of production
- Focal point for all machine installations on the manufacturing floor
- Maintain current machines and repair records
- Make, repair and modify custom-made, prototype or special tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and gauges using various metals, alloys and plastics which require precise dimensions
- Be able to independently call vendors of machines and tech support as needed.
- Perform routine building and equipment maintenance
- Implement lean and safety initiatives
- Complete installation and receive training for new equipment and processes
- Conduct troubleshooting and provide solutions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must possess general mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Previous experience working as manufacturing maintenance technician
- Computer literacy including the ability to do email communication, MS Suite
- Strong organizational skills and work ethic
- General electrical knowledge/aptitude is an asset
- Able to sit/stand/crouch/walk for 8 hours per day
- Able to work at heights
- Able to regularly lift up to 50lbs
