Decaler
1st Shift - 7:00am-3:30pm EST (Mon-Fri)
Wage: Up to $18//hr.
Job Purpose: Applies decals to surfaces by adhesive or moisture process for any product requiring them prior to shipment to the customer.
Job duties:
- Cleans surface to be covered by decal.
- Prepares decal for application according to the appropriate process required for the type of decal.
- Cut out decals from the sheet with scissors.
- Positions decal on surface visually or using template and smoothes out air bubbles with roller or edge board.
- Slides backing paper from decal and wipes off excess adhesive with damp cloth.
- Varnishes over decal if appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 1 – 3 months related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in one-on-one and / or small group situations.
- Ability to add and subtract 2-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10s and 100s.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Reliable and predictable attendance required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk or stand, to use their hands to finger, handle or fell, and to reach with their hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and to talk or hear.
- The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
