Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Operator to join our team. This role involves operating heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, telehandlers, and forklifts to handle materials, perform cleaning tasks, and assist with minor maintenance. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to efficiently operate various types of equipment in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Heavy Equipment Operation: Safely operate front-end loaders, telehandlers, forklifts, and other heavy machinery to transport and handle materials throughout the facility.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials as needed for production processes. Ensure materials are stored in designated areas for easy access.
- Cleaning and Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment by performing routine cleaning tasks around the plant, including equipment and work areas.
- Minor Maintenance: Assist with basic maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functionality.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety guidelines and industry best practices to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
- Collaboration: Work closely with plant operators, maintenance personnel, and other team members to support the overall plant operations and ensure smooth workflow.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and material movements as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training is a plus.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, telehandlers, and forklifts in an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery while adhering to safety standards.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with minor maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to operate heavy machinery for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in various plant conditions, including dusty or noisy environments.
