MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ALL SCHEDULED OVERTIME PER THE PRODUCTION NEEDS
Unload Logs into machine. Maintain the core chipper area and run all necessary cores through the core chipper. Must be able to learn and break out HEO operator for the Cut off saw and Loading the lathe deck/vats. Neatly stack and strap all core from core bins. All loads will be counted and tagged with the piece count on each load. Will be required to load Core trucks for shipments of core.
Essential Functions & Position Qualifications:
- Understand the safety standard for operating in the Log Yard/UT
- Timely and proficient execution of unloading core bins
- Basic understanding of raw material used in the process
- Ability to multi task while performing work accurately and thoroughly
- Manage all spin outs/short logs and properly move them through the process
- Customer oriented with skills to deal with a truck drivers
Work environment and Physical requirements:
- 90-95% outside work in all conditions.
- Able to work in summer heat and winter cold
- Capable of physical dexterity to navigate around debris in log yard
- Able to stand, walk, bend, squat for extended periods of time
