Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a seasoned Senior Tableau Developer to spearhead enterprise-scale business intelligence and data visualization initiatives. This leadership role involves designing and implementing large-scale Tableau solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in BI development, data warehouse design, and project management, with a proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and deliver impactful analytics solutions. Your expertise will support Synechron’s strategic goal of leveraging data insights to foster innovation and operational excellence.
This role drives the strategic deployment of Tableau dashboards and reports, enabling both technical and executive stakeholders to access clear, actionable insights.
Software Requirements
Required:
- Tableau Desktop (v10 or later) — hands-on experience with dashboard creation, report authoring, data source management, and troubleshooting
- Data warehouse/data mart design and implementation experience
- Data analysis, data validation, and data mapping knowledge
- SQL (or equivalent query language) for data analysis and validation
- Project management fundamentals and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA)
Preferred:
- Experience with Tableau Server / Tableau Online deployment and administration
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R for advanced analytics
- Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend)
Overall Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise BI solutions utilizing Tableau
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements and translate them into effective dashboards and reports
- Oversee multiple BI projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with business strategies
- Perform comprehensive data analysis, validation, and mapping to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting
- Document system architecture, data flows, and data validation procedures
- Guide the team on best practices in visualization design, data modeling, and dashboard performance optimization
- Manage and drive continuous improvement initiatives for reporting standards and technical excellence
- Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing to uplift overall BI capabilities
Technical Skills (By Category)
Programming Languages:
- Required: Data analysis using SQL
- Preferred: Scripting languages such as Python or R for automation and advanced analytics
Databases/Data Management:
- Required: Experience with data warehousing, data marts, and ETL workflows
- Preferred: Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake)
Frameworks and Libraries:
- Required: Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Online, Data modeling techniques
- Preferred: Integration with R or Python libraries for analytics
Development Tools and Methodologies:
- Required: MS Project, JIRA, Agile/Scrum methodologies

Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data, analytics, or BI projects
- At least 4+ years actively developing and managing Tableau enterprise dashboards and reports
- Proven expertise in data warehouse/data mart design, data analysis, and validation processes
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, with strong organizational skills
- Industry sectors of experience may include finance, retail, healthcare, or technology, but are not mandatory
Day-to-Day Activities
- Develop and enhance Tableau dashboards and reports based on evolving business needs
- Validate data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across data sources and reporting layers
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to gather requirements and ensure solution effectiveness
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications
- Perform data analysis and validation, documenting all workflows and procedures
- Lead code and dashboard reviews, and supervise documentation standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical/reporting issues promptly
- Conduct training sessions and knowledge sharing to uplift team capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field; higher qualifications or certifications are advantageous
- Certifications in Tableau (Certified Associate or Professional) preferred
- Ongoing professional development in BI tools, data governance, and visualization best practices
