Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $136,282.00 – 144,500.00 per year and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Responsible for tracking and reporting complex plant schedules using Primavera P6 based on inputs from functional department managers. Understanding issues related to plant performance, forecasts, bottlenecks, issues, and trends of complex projects and manufacturing phases. Working in the development of plant wide master schedules (key team member). Working to determine impacts with impact analysis on issues from all phases of a project (design, procurement, manufacturing, and commissioning). Driving operations for mitigations and recoveries. Monitoring workload capacity and backlog. Identifying optimized resource allocation opportunities to ensure that customer expectations, deadlines, and internal financial goals are met. Running reports for cross-functional departments to monitor schedule performance at various levels with respect to baselines and factory manpower loading. Coordinating and regulating various meetings such as project progress reviews with various levels of management.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a Project Controls Engineer-related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a Project Controls Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
1) Utilizing factory planning for equipment manufacturing used in rail vehicles, heavy industrial applications, or steel mills;
2) Working with MBOMs (Manufacturing Bill of Materials), demand planning using SAP;
3) Project manufacturing scheduling principles: Critical path analysis, sequence, and relationship logic;
4) Project planning and coordination across multiple projects; and
5) Analysis of drawings or data sets using tools such as AutoCAD or Tableau for critical decision making and risk assessment.
Telecommuting may be permissible pursuant to company policy. Up to 10% domestic travel required. [HYBRID role]
