Join Amazon Global Logistics as a Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead the transformation of our global inbound logistics through technology optimization. You'll take end-to-end ownership of defining supply types and implementing technology solutions to optimize cost, speed, and reliability within our drayage network. This role offers direct impact on customer experience through collaboration with Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Product, and Finance teams.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive strategic initiatives to implement automation and scalable systems
  • Lead prioritization of technology needs for Destination Operations
  • Analyze and optimize the end-to-end container lifecycle process
  • Develop and execute supply type strategy within the Relay program
  • Create and maintain sustainable scaling mechanisms
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop mitigation strategies
  • Lead business reviews and communicate strategic vision
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive operational improvements
  • Implement data-driven solutions for efficiency enhancement

A day in the life

Your day begins with reviewing operational metrics and identifying opportunities for improvement. You'll collaborate with tech teams to advance automation projects, participate in strategic planning sessions, and lead cross-functional meetings to align on priorities. Time will be spent analyzing data to optimize supply chain processes, developing presentation materials for senior leadership, and working with various stakeholders to implement process improvements. You might end your day documenting progress on strategic initiatives or mentoring team members on project execution.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of supply chain experience
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Experience using SQL to extract, manipulate and analyze data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree
  • 2+ years of change management experience
  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
