The Amazon Specialized Businesses Security (SBS) team is searching for a Contract Manufacturing Security Manager – Vietnam for its Supply Chain and Intellectual Property Security (SCIPS) team. This role combines physical security oversight with information security management to protect Amazon's intellectual property and manufacturing processes. The key responsibilities of the role include conducting audits and inspections at Final Assembly, Test and Packaging (FATP)/Contract Manufacturing (CM) sites, distribution centers, transit lanes and additional third-party supplier locations where Amazon product is manufactured, moved, stored and disposed. Security management system audits are carried out according to Amazon’s internal standards. This position will monitor the compliance with contractual requirements, assess the effectiveness of the implementation, and provide general support to the site security personnel at the vendor service providers.

This role will interact with stakeholders and various partners on a regular basis. Additionally, this position will provide program security support to all consumer electronic devices prior to release to the general public and will support the prototype security program for the devices and services organization.

This role will be primarily focused on Vietnam, with partial support for APAC business activities. The position will report to the APAC Contract Manufacturing Security Manager.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a robust audit plan for the team and manage regional audit activities.
  • Ensure audit and inspections are carried out to the Amazon manufacturing security standard, with on time and high-quality deliverables.
  • Apply an in-depth understanding of the interrelationship of business and how the overall audit approach and control environment are impacted via compliance.
  • Work with internal and external partners to monitor security compliance.
  • Manage and provide reports to leadership on resource utilization and budget.
  • Carry out remote/on-site/follow up audits and evaluate FATP/CM sites, distribution centers, transit lanes and additional third-party supplier locations.
  • Identify deviations and flaws in the prototype and sustaining product security management process.
  • Generate and issue audit reports and findings of irregularities, discrepancies and deviations from prescribed procedures.
  • Participate in major business initiatives, supplier reviews and provide active advice to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and other efficient utilization of resources to meet prototype and sustaining product security goals.
  • Assist with the qualification process and professional development for the audit team.
  • Assist with training of manufacturing location personnel as required.
  • Assist in ad-hoc prototype security projects and/or investigation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in Vietnamese.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in brand protection activities, physical security/information security/fraud investigation/ manufacturing field and/or proven experience in global retail product launches.
  • Understanding of network security, identity management, encryption, end point protection and logging and monitoring.
  • Has high standards for professionalism, integrity, responsiveness, and business ethics.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven customer service, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and team leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated effective approach in communicating issues.
  • Ability to prioritize based on risk.
  • Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills that deliver results.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, attention to details with the ability to infuse innovation and creativity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Domestic and international travel will be required (50-75% of time).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university
  • Lead/Supplier Auditor certification or professional qualification.
  • Previous experience of manufacturing audits against international management systems, physical and information security, or Intellectual Property protection standards
  • Previous experience in prototype/tooling/component destruction handling.
  • Ability to interface with large groups and audiences and effectively present material.
  • Ability to function in a fast paced, innovative environment.
  • Experience in multinational companies and/or international working experience.
  • Professional exposure to the consumer electronics industry.
  • TAPA, ASIS, CFE, Security+, CISSP or other professional security organization qualification or memberships.
  • Proficient in Mandarin Chinese, Thai, Malay would be a plus.
