Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) organization is seeking talented Software Development Engineers to join the Optimal Sourcing Systems (OSS) ContinuousBuying and SCOT Unified Planning (SUP) team. The SUP platform is a critical component of Amazon's inventory planning infrastructure, enabling various Just-In-Time (JIT) and non-JIT buying programs across the company to leverage common components and services. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering creative solutions to solve complex problems at a large scale. As an SDE on our team, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining core SUP platform capabilities that drive mission-critical supply chain workflows.

Key job responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable components for the multi-tenant, extensible Unified Planning framework
• Build and maintain generic business logic components that can be reused across multiple programs
• Implement orchestration systems for core inventory planning functions
• Create and optimize workflows for purchase order tracking, consolidation, and computation scheduling
• Collaborate with program owners to integrate various purchasing programs into the SUP platform
• Contribute to platform features supporting failure recovery, data visualization, and PO consolidation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
