Job Title: Press Operator

Job Description

This role involves operating a metal stamping press to manufacture products according to specific job requirements. You will be responsible for interpreting information from work orders and blueprints, setting up for each job, and loading and packing parts under the guidance of a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up metal stamping press machines for specific jobs, constituting 40% of the role.
• Load and pack parts, which forms 60% of the job responsibilities.
• Interpret and follow instructions from work orders and blueprints to manufacture products.
• Learn and perform setup procedures for different jobs.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years experience operating a Stamping Press or CNC Machines.
• 1+ years experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure and calculating basic math.
• Experience with punch press, sheet metal, fabrication, and calipers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating a high-speed punch press is advantageous.
• Experience working with sheet metal.
• Ability to use micrometers, height gauges, and calipers.
• Must be capable and willing to run high-volume, fast-paced jobs.

Work Environment

You will work in a clean manufacturing environment that is loud and heavily production-based. The role involves working in a small area for 10 hours a day, either alone or with one other person. The company culture promotes from within, prioritizes safety, and encourages friendliness. Shift options include 2nd shift from Monday to Thursday (4:30 PM to 3:00 AM) and 1st shift from Monday to Friday (6:00 AM to 4:30 PM).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
