What You'll Do

As an Analyst – BCG Vantage on our Client Focus path within BCG's Travel, Cities & Infrastructure Practice Area, you will be part of the Shipping Benchmarking Initiative (SBI) team, comprising content experts with strong industry knowledge, and delivering proprietary benchmarks within the shipping industry. As an integral member of the team, you will interact with both local and international teams and work closely with shipping clients to diagnose/solve their problems through BCG’s leading benchmarks. You will be working under supervision to manage the existing benchmark offerings end-to-end, while also contributing to the development of new product offerings. The role allows you to quickly take on responsibility for assignments and build deep domain knowledge within the shipping industry while facing off with all levels of client organizations.

While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.

• Helping solve client problems through formulating relevant research and/or analytical approaches in your area of expertise
• Working across multiple work streams at once with strong ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Analyzing large data sets with sharp attention to detail and distilling the key insights
• Communicating with case teams and clients team members, in a credible and confident way
• Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working
• Being flexible and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas
• Navigating complexity and ambiguity

What You'll Bring

• Master's degree in relevant disciplines, such as business administration, engineering, economics or other data/analytical centric disciplines; 1+ year of relevant work experience in the shipping industry preferred
• Or Bachelor's degree, with strict minimum of 1+ year consulting experience or 2+ years of relevant industry work experience in the shipping industry
• Fluency in English; other languages considered an advantage
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

As an Analyst – BCG Vantage on our Client Focus path, you will work face to face with clients and with BCG Project Leaders, Associates and Consultants. You will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients.
