The Position
This role reports directly to the Vice President of Enterprise Data & Advanced Analytics (ED&AA) and serves as a key member of the Novo Nordisk US Operations (USO) AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE). The individual will lead and manage a team of data and AI engineers and developers and is tasked with providing strategy and vision on the technical implementation, optimization, and deployment of AI/ML pipelines, AI/GenAI models and solutions, as well as analytics dashboards. They will collaborate with rest of the AI CoE and the broader ED&AA to achieve analytics and insight delivery speed and efficiency through automation and GenAI application development.
To help drive the AI CoE's mission, this role will manage, mentor, and expand a high-performing organization that: Attracts and cultivates essential skills needed for data & AI Engineering, GenAI development, and analytics automation and dashboarding, ensuring the team delivers insights to the business with speed and scale. Accelerates innovation by harnessing cutting-edge AI/GenAI technologies and developing AI/GenAI products to deliver high quality insights with speed and efficiency Promotes a culture of creativity and execution excellence, developing processes that drives standardization and efficiency.
Relationships
The role interacts with various levels of leadership within Novo Nordisk US Operations, serving as a key advisor to the cross-functional teams on AI development, consumption, and governance. This leader and their team work closely with various business functions across the Novo Nordisk US Operations, including ED&AA, IT, Ethics and Compliance, Commercial, Patient Services, CMR (Clinical, Medical, Regulatory), Finance, and Novo Nordisk global colleagues. Externally, this role interacts with and manages various vendors.

Development Of People
Supervisory. Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.
Qualifications
The base compensation range for this position is $ 181,670 to $ 317,920. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
