About this opportunity:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines and modern data platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of distributed data processing and hands-on expertise with tools like Snowflake, PySpark, Python, AWS Glue, and strong proficiency in SQL. You will work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to build robust data solutions that support analytics, ML.

What you will do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery of structured and semi-structured data.
  • Build and manage ETL/ELT workflows using AWS Glue, PySpark, and other big data technologies.
  • Develop data integration solutions between internal and external data sources using Python, SQL, and Snowflake.
  • Optimize data transformation logic to improve performance, cost, and maintainability.
  • Data lake and data warehouse with AWS,Snowflake - Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand requirements, convert Functional Specifications to Technical Design, and work with source system and technology teams to extract data.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve existing pipelines for reliability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to define and deliver data needs.
  • Ensure data governance, quality, and security policies are enforced across all data platforms.
  • Document technical solutions, architecture, and data models for future reference and compliance.
  • Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to architectural decision-making.

The skills you bring:

  • Snowflake: Advanced knowledge of data warehousing concepts, Snowflake SQL, performance tuning, and data sharing.
  • PySpark: Strong experience building large-scale data pipelines using Spark.
  • Python: Proficiency in scripting and developing custom data transformation components.
  • SQL: Expertise in writing complex queries, optimizing joins, window functions, and performance tuning.
  • AWS Glue: Deep experience in developing and managing serverless ETL jobs.
