SAIC is looking for a Mission and Enterprise Integration Lead Systems Engineer to support a very dynamic and innovative space program in Chantilly, VA. Responsible for supporting mission systems engineering and enterprise integration and leading the SETA Systems Engineering team. Must have excellent problem solving skills, creativity and a willingness and to go the extra mile to resolve issues in an NRO System Program Office.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and execute SE-related forums and meetings within the Customer office and Enterprise.
- Interface and coordinate with other organizations in the Enterprise to support Enterprise integration, events and reviews.
- Provide mission planning/closure, and enterprise integration and test planning and execution support.
- Champion and implement system conops.
- Use technical expertise to support the customer in mission/enterprise integration, systems engineering, and system closure.
- Participate and represent the customer in various Government and contractor meetings and attend contractor programmatic and technical reviews (e.g. PMR, PDR, CDR, and other meetings) to provide technical and programmatic-based system recommendations and risk assessments.
- Develops innovative ways to utilize systems.
- Develop productive relationships with Contractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other subject matter experts.
- Maintains solid understanding of system capabilities.
- Serves as mentor to team members.
- Provide proactive support to the Government customer and tasks in an integrated office environment (Government Customer and SAIC).
- Participate in full lifecycle acquisition and SE activities from pre-acquisition through launch and on-orbit checkout.
- Author, review, and coordinate documents, briefings and data to aid the Government in communications and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
- Experience with NRO satellite systems.
- Prior government leadership or SETA leadership experience required.
- Ability to mentor/lead senior level SETA and government personnel on SE and Mission Engineering/Integration efforts.
- Available to travel domestically.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment.
- Bachelors and fourteen years or more experience; Masters and twelve years or more experience; PhD and nine years or more experience.
