Position Description

Are you a detail-oriented leader with a passion for quality control and continuous improvement? Join Applied Medical as a Team Leader - Quality Control Inspector, where you’ll guide and mentor a team, ensuring excellence in inspection processes, compliance, and overall quality standards. In this collaborative environment, you'll play a crucial role in optimizing inspections, driving efficiency, and maintaining adherence to quality and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate Quality Control (QC) activities to uphold product integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee inspection procedures, ensuring accuracy in assessing raw materials, components, and finished products.
  • Provide guidance, training, and direction to team members, offering expertise in inspection techniques and equipment usage.
  • Assist in training, implementation, updating, and creation of procedures to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure necessary instructions, tools, and equipment are available, properly maintained, and calibrated for accurate inspections.
  • Mentor and support new team members, conducting performance reviews and fostering professional growth.
  • Participate in improvement initiatives focused on optimizing inspections, data collection, and team efficiency.
  • Engage in trend analysis to refine QC processes and enhance overall product quality.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Position Requirements

  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and meticulous in inspection and documentation processes.
  • Assertive and proactive, willing to ask questions and seek solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a customer-service-oriented approach.
  • Effective multitasking abilities, capable of prioritizing multiple projects efficiently.
  • Deep understanding of inspection techniques and procedures, including reading drawings and utilizing measurement instruments.
  • Expertise in tools and equipment used for medical device inspections.
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and team guidance skills.

Preferred

  • Hands-on manufacturing experience, particularly within the medical device industry.

Benefits

The base compensation range for this role is $24 - $30 per hour for positions in California. Actual compensation packages are determined based on factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and work location. The compensation range is subject to modification in the future.
