Material Handler Wanted - Stand up forklift experience Required
1st Shift: Short Work Day on Fridays
$17.00 Per Hour
An assembly plant in Springfield, OH is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator. The ideal candidate is computer-literate with at least 5 years of inventory and stand up forklift experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick and supply materials for production jobs
- Organize and store materials properly following safety procedures
- Conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory issues
- Identify and label parts, racks, bins and rows
- Manage material movements systematically
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory using ERP system
- Stock production lines with required materials
- Manage Kanban/VMI programs with buyers/planners
- Stock inventory locations and utilize overstock locators
- Properly handle non-conforming materials (NCM) and scrap
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Material Handler or in inventory control
- Ability to operate stand-up forklifts (5 years or more of experience required)
- Familiarity with inventory management software/ERP systems
- Basic computer literacy
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety
