COMPENSATION:

Hourly Pay Range: $16.90 - $27.00

(this pay range represents the rates of pay for step 1 to the maximum step for this position in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. The starting pay for the successful candidate will start at step 1)

JOB SUMMARY:

To prepare food for customer consumption; to package product and wait on customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare food items for display
  • Package, label and price products
  • Place point of sale signs, tags, stickers as needed
  • Stock and display merchandise for sale to customers
  • Assist customers with their orders
  • Operate department equipment in safe efficient manner
  • Maintain merchandise in cases, shelves for orderly display and rotation
  • Clean department fixtures and equipment
  • Maintain stock in storage area
  • Order replacement merchandise and supplies as needed
  • Maintain logs and records of damaged and lost merchandise
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Other related duties as required

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma is preferred but not required
  • Valid Health Card
  • Ability to read recipes, invoices, labels, signs to adequately prepare, package label and inventory ingredients and merchandise
  • Must be able to operate a computerized scale, communicate with customers and perform basic math calculations
  • Must maintain a sense of integrity
