We’re seeking a SOX Audit Analysis Manager (AAM) to lead and execute SOX and internal audit projects that assess internal controls and ensure compliance. This role involves planning, performing, and reporting on audits, while mentoring team members and driving continuous improvement. This role will not have direct reports with line manager responsibilities.

As an Audit Analysis Manager, you will…

  • Lead end-to-end SOX audits: walkthroughs, control testing, issue identification, and documentation.
  • Support SOX program management: planning, reporting, training, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Communicate deficiencies and audit findings; monitor and validate remediation efforts.
  • Perform 302 Certification and operational audit testing.
  • Support and perform testing for operational audits, as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and coordinate and supervise third-party co-sourcing.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on controls and compliance.
  • Analyze data using tools like Excel, Alteryx, and Power BI.
  • Drive process improvements and maintain audit quality standards.
  • Work cross-functionally with global teams and adapt to evolving business needs.

We’d love to hear from people with:

Five years of progressive experience in audit, accounting, or financial management, including three years of public accounting with a major international accounting firm, or internal audit experience at a large global company

  • Strong understanding of ICFR, PCAOB standards, GAAP, GAAS, and Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA) global standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Hyperion), and data tools (Alteryx, SQL, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.
  • CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE preferred.

  • If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
