Sr. iOS Developer

Job Location: Saint Louis, MO

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 to 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Saint Louis, MO Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though

The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you’re engaged in, as well as business and client requirements.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Lead technical discussions. Analyze requirements. Identify gaps. Evaluate the pros and cons of multiple solutions. Provide feedback and suggestions as to how to best implement solutions.

Implement and champion good practices.

Coordinate with service teams to play a partial influencer role in microservice implementation and integration.

Integrate with both a product team and a design team to elevate the user experience of the Panera iOS application.

Coordinate with the development team to manage business expectations.

Responsible for regularly deploying high-quality, crash-free, working software to production.

Communicate to management when status changes or deadlines could be impacted.

Prioritize and resolve bugs and defects impacting cafes, features, and user experience.

Work closely with QA and other developers to create and develop test cases in a pair-programming environment.

Review, design, and build new feature functionality

What you need to have to be considered:

8-10 years of experience with iOS application/framework development

B.S Computer Science (4-year) or greater

A background in software engineering is required to solve complex problems in an optimized, scalable, and maintainable manner.

Familiarities with SAFe processes and practices.

Strong proficiency with Swift and iOS frameworks such as Core Data and Core Animations, Storyboards, Auto layouts, and version control (git).

Understanding of XCode and other development environments.

Familiarity with MVC and MVP application architectures and proper thread handling.

Test-driven development experience is highly desired.

Experience with iOS design principles, dependency injection, and background services.

Experience in developing ADA-compliant code.

Working knowledge of testing tools and implementations (unit/functional/UAT).

Experience with material design, implementing designs from wireframes and mockups to specifications.

Comfortable with agile scrum methodologies, ceremonies, and tool suites (JIRA).

Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until June July 15th , 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $97,000 to $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
