The Human Resources Specialist will assist with administrative work, projects, and will serve as a resource to employees and managers in regard to Human Resources related issues.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Completion of the post-offer employment process and making sure the conditions of employment have been fulfilled and assisting with new hire orientation at the entity.

Formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that are aligned with the organization and HR strategies and goals.

Serves as an initial point of contact for general HR inquiries.

Assists with HR Compliance requirements, including EEO-1 data, Child Abuse/FBI and Auto Declaration/Licenses and confirms compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.

Assists with the maintenance of active and terminated physical personnel files, including pulling documents for subpoena responses.

Completes employment verifications in accordance with Network policy.

Plans and actively participates in employee engagement and recognition events

Assists and coordinates special projects/events for the Campus/Entity.

Assists with the employee photo identification badge process and maintains camera and photo supplies.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting for up to six hours per day, one hour at a time. Standing for up to five hours per day, one hour at a time. Walking up to three hours per day, thirty minutes at a time. Fingering and handling frequently. Twisting and turning of hands occasionally. Lifting and carrying up to ten pounds, occasionally. Pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Occasionally stoops, bends, squats, kneels, and reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general, near and visual monotony

EDUCATION:

B.A./B.S. in appropriate Human Resources, Business or Psychology discipline preferred. Human Resources certification preferred.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a broad range of Human Resource Functions. Experience with an HRIS System preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
