We are seeking a seasoned and passionate Engineering Manager to lead a talented team within the PowerPoint organization. In this role, you will guide a group of skilled engineers focused on integrating cutting-edge AI technologies and building new capabilities for one of the most iconic and widely used presentation platforms globally. You will be responsible for driving technical strategy, mentoring team members, and delivering high-impact features that shape how millions create and communicate their ideas.

As the Engineering Manager for PowerPoint, you will oversee the design and development of rich, interactive features that empower users to create visually stunning and engaging presentations. You will work closely with cross-functional partners—including product managers, designers, and researchers—to translate user needs into scalable solutions.

• Architect and design complex systems with deep knowledge of dependencies, security, scalability, and testing strategies across services and teams.
• Drive engineering best practices in coding, debugging, automation, tool development, and compliance (security, privacy, accessibility).
• Mentor and guide teams in code reviews, architectural decisions, and continuous integration to ensure high product quality and reliability.
• Hire, retain and grow engineering talent.
• Partner with Product Management, Design and Data Science to drive execution excellence across disciplines and deliver customer focused experiences with great business impact. Be responsible for creating and fostering a healthy, collaborative, inclusive & supportive team culture.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience with design, implementation, debugging and testing of complex distributed services.
• Demonstrated experience working with Large Language Models and prompt engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years people management experience
• A demonstrated track record of excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong experience of architecting and building reliable, high scale services, and strong experience in developing, debugging and maintaining code.
• Experience with Azure Cloud and ADO pipeline is preferred but not required.
