The region employs over 1800 employees and has a long history in the Asian Pacific and African markets, focusing on develop crop nutrition concepts that increase food production and create value to the growers, in particular smallholder farmers, whilst minimizing environmental impact of agricultural activities.YAA is currently undergoing a major transformation, aimed at shifting the existing business models, generating new revenue streams and ultimately delivering profit through new Farming Solutions related activities
Operational Oversight:
o Supervise contractors and direct the day-to-day activities of production line, packing materials and manufacturing system.
o Monitor both production schedules and the manufacturing system, ensuring that daily production and advance planning targets are met.
o Promptly resolve issues to minimize downtime on the production line, including problems related to product quality, contractor skills, raw material preparation, and manufacturing processes.
o Ensure proper setup and operation of machinery and equipment.
o Conduct regular inspections of products to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
Continuous Improvement & Efficiency:
o Look for opportunities to improve production processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
o Suggest and implement improvements to workflow and production methods.
o Help implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean manufacturing principles).
o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, scrap rates, and downtime.
Reporting & Administration:
o Prepare daily production reports for production team.
o Communicate effectively with other departments such as maintenance, quality, planning, warehousing and contractors.
HESQ and Ethics & Compliance
o Lead and monitor YARA safety (Golden rules)
o Always act in accordance with 5S, Safety Walk, and Toolbox activities in each owner area.
o Lead and monitor issues that occur on the production line into the Synergi application.
o Lead, prepare and submit work permits for each activity in production operations.
Always act in accordance with the Ethics & Compliance policy as defined by Yara globally.
o Work in accordance with HESQ policy and relevant legislation, as well as Yara's safety and security principles and Golden Rules.
Education:
o Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Industrial Technology, Operations Management, Engineering) preferred.
o Long relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
Experience:
o Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
o At least 1-2 years of experience in a lead role or supervisory capacity is highly desirable.
o Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
Skills & Competencies:
o Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
o Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
o Solid understanding of production processes and equipment.
o Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards (e.g., ISO).
o Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
o Ability to read and interpret production plans and specifications.
o Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
o Ability to communicate in English is preferred.
