Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Job Description

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will operate equipment with precision to utilize raw ingredients and create flavor products. Your role will involve ensuring a thorough understanding of all safety, quality, and operational procedures. You will use tools and electronic systems for compounding and container filling, and accurately match ingredients to shop orders using computers and scan guns.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to accurately utilize raw ingredient materials to create flavor products.
• Ensure understanding of all safety, quality, and operational procedures relevant to the role.
• Utilize tools and electronic/computer systems for compounding and container filling.
• Match ingredients to shop orders using computers, scan guns, or other tools and processes.
• Follow production, safety, quality, and operational procedures to verify and record information during the production process.
• Ensure proper ventilation and use of safety equipment.
• Develop understanding of Quality Control requirements for sampling, product testing, and swabbing of equipment, and follow policies surrounding Quality Control needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of manufacturing or production experience, ideally in a pharmaceutical, food, or nutraceutical environment.
• Knowledge of machine operating and production.
• Strong emphasis on safety.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math skills, including ratios and weighing of product.
• Knowledge of FDA/GMP regulations.
• Ability to follow procedures and directions to properly identify product and follow formulas.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift 50-75+ lbs on a regular basis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Good attitude and ability to learn.
• Motivation is essential.

Work Environment

This role is within a flavor and fragrances manufacturing company, specializing in sweet flavors like strawberry, root beer, and peanut butter. With only 15 people currently on the team, the ability to work independently and take initiative is crucial. The work hours are from 5 am to 1:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Cucamonga, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
