Job Title: Production Team Leader

Job Description

This position is responsible for overseeing a team of technicians, machine operators, or assemblers to ensure efficient, high-quality, and safe operations at the production site. The Team Lead role involves coordinating daily tasks, providing leadership, troubleshooting issues, training, coaching, and ensuring projects are completed on time and in compliance with safety standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of technicians ensuring adherence to project deadlines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback to ensure optimal productivity and job satisfaction.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, troubleshooting issues and assisting with problem resolution as needed.
  • Ensure all team members are trained on the latest SOPs and process procedures, providing guidance to supervision on current requirements.
  • Monitor daily work progress and ensure systems and components are installed, maintained, or repaired to meet customer expectations and compliance standards.
  • Perform inspections of installed systems and components, ensuring all work is completed to meet quality standards.
  • Review SOPs and equipment to ensure proper tools, materials, and safety gear are available.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, engineers, and other stakeholders regarding production status, resources, training needs, and any potential delays or issues.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by ensuring all team members adhere to safety standards and protocols.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies and materials needed for optimal production flow.
  • Maintain documentation of work performed, including job reports, timesheets, and compliance logs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 1 year of leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, components, installation methods, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and a proactive approach to workplace safety.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve productivity and quality goals.
  • Ability to maintain and pass First Aid & CPR certification.

Work Environment

The work environment requires physical activity such as lifting and/or moving up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching as needed. Climbing a portable ladder may be necessary. Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required, and good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are essential.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
