Baylor University Diana R. Garland School of Social Work seeks to fill two full-time, tenure-track or tenured faculty positions in mental or behavioral health or interdisciplinary research. Rank may be Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Positions start in August 2026.

Successful candidates for these faculty positions will contribute to the school's mission of educating social work professionals and advancing research in (1) mental or behavioral health or (2) interdisciplinary research, while also engaging in meaningful service and collaboration with colleagues in the school. In addition to research, these open faculty positions are focused on work based in our Waco residential programs.

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Required:

  • earned research doctorate in social work and/or a relevant field of study
  • enthusiasm for the mission of the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work
  • a strong record of effective teaching and student service/engagement
  • demonstrated ability to pursue a rigorous research agenda with commensurate publications and funding with emphasis on mental health or interdisciplinary research

Preferred:

  • MSW from a CSWE-accredited program
  • two years of post-MSW professional practice
  • evidence of providing leadership and collaborating with stakeholders in research, teaching, and service activities.
