Job Title: CNC Operator

Job Description

Join a dynamic team at a leading manufacturer specializing in motion and control technologies and systems. We provide precision-engineered solutions for mobile, industrial, and aerospace markets. Our products are essential to everything that moves or requires control, including the manufacturing and processing of raw materials, durable goods, infrastructure development, and all forms of transport. This position focuses on the production of gear heads for motors.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set-up CNC lathes and mills.
• Transform raw materials to first article inspection for any lathe or mill part.
• Work on insourcing activities.
• Understand machining fundamentals, including materials, feed rates, speeds, fixture design, grinding, honing, heat treat, welding, and inspection.
• Familiarity with different grades of steel and aluminum and their machinability requirements.

Essential Skills

• Two-year technical degree.
• Firm grasp of machining fundamentals.
• Minimum one year of experience operating CNC machines.
• Six months of setup experience on CNC machines.
• 1-2 years experience with inspection using micrometers and calipers.
• Basic math skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Capability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Work Environment

Production environment with great lighting and ventilation. Work hours are 2nd shift during summer, Noon to 8:30 PM, with training on days from 6 AM to 2 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Ulm, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
