Aerotek is Hiring an Electromechanical Assembler in Burnaby

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Assembler to join our electronics manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling batteries, reading written and picture instructions, and building products efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assemble batteries using small hand tools.
• Read and interpret written and picture instructions to build products.
• Stand or sit at a station alongside team members.
• Crimp lugs on wires and follow wiring procedures.
• Build and interconnect final assemblies and sub-assemblies using production drawings.
• Obtain parts and supplies using proper procedures.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of recent experience in electromechanical assembly within the past 2 years.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience building products from written instructions.
• Proficiency in using small hand and power tools such as screwdrivers and drills.
• Strong communication skills and experience in assembly and production.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the same industry or working with similar products.
• More than 3 years of recent experience assembling products.
• Experience using probes, multimeters, and other electrical tools.
• Experience following a test plan and reporting results using office documents such as Excel.

Work Environment

You will be part of a hard-working, welcoming team that is open to new ideas and suggestions. The team consists of approximately 30 people on each shift across production and warehouse. You can expect a casual dress code and the shift runs from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm.
