We’re looking for a Java backend developer with Azure Cloud experience (preferably) to:

• Design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees,
• Apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment,
• Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements,
• Build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues,
• Understand, represent, and advocate for client needs,
• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities

Your team

You’ll be working in the Workstation team in Wroclaw. We provide engineering services to WMA business divisions of the UBS group. Together as team, we provide solutions to unique business/market requirements in line with the established Corporate IT Standards. As a java developer, you'll play an important role in developing client facing applications.

Your expertise

• Bachelor or equivalent focusing on engineering or science or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution,
• Ideally 6+ years of experience in a similar position focused on developing applications in Java/Spring and related frameworks within the finance sector (preferred),
• Interested in learning new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind,
• Strong communicator, fluent in English, from making presentations to technical writing
• Proficiency with UNIX and scripting
• Experience developing microservices and cloud-native infrastructure technologies, Azure AKS preferred
• Knowledge in API design, implementation, and system integration using REST APIs
