Senior Project Manager EU SCM

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

This is a key in-house strategy position for an organized, passionate and goal-oriented future leader who understands what projects have in common, and their strategic role in how organizations succeed, learn and change.

  • Drive major change initiatives across functions
  • Manage (senior) stakeholder’s relationship and secure buy-ins to project deliverables
  • Furthering project management capabilities and knowledge management of the team
  • Uphold and enhance the brand of EU SCM with (senior) stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead overall program, project and work streams deliverables (e.g. project planning, milestones execution and monitoring) in alignment with strategic direction
  • Develop feasibility studies for new scope / new business, building scenarios, recommendations and risk analysis
  • Manage effective and timely communication on project progress and results to sponsors and senior management
  • Effectively deploy project management toolkit across work streams to ensure high quality and consistency of deliverables
  • Monitor and highlight any project variables (cost, effort, scope, etc.) against the project plan and make suggestions to implement corrective or preventative actions.
  • Manage and support processes and tools that increases transparency on cost and cost drivers of the Supply Chain
  • Manage departmental activities (e.g. knowledge sharing and employer branding)

  • Drive project activities and connect with other stakeholders to share activities across work streams
  • Initiate and drive discussions with x-functional stakeholders to collect and consolidate feedback, prepare and align solutions
  • Proactively manage stakeholders, build relationships and manage communication
  • Stakeholders can relate to the following core functions:
    • EU SCM (all functions)
    • EU Market (all functions)
    • GOPS (Global IT, etc.)
    • Corporate functions (e.g. legal, finance & performance management)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Soft skills:

  • End-to-end mindset, big picture view of problems on hand
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Proven experience presenting to executive leadership (VP level or above)
  • Engaging, open and react to feedbacks and improve
  • Highly self-motivated individuals
  • Independently manage portfolio of tasks and handle upward communication proactively
  • Change management skills of influencing network of stakeholders

Hard skills:

  • Experience and knowledge of adidas system landscape (SAP, WMS)
  • Previous experience in creating custom reports in MSTR and PowerBI
  • Excellent analytical skills, managing data from multiple sources and synthesize the complex data to develop innovative solutions
  • Model and scenarios development for new business scope
  • Proven track records on wide areas of tools (e.g. Project planning, process mapping, enterprise solutions, etc.)
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially MS Excel, Access skills preferred
  • Solid presentation and storytelling skills
  • Discipline in planning time management and organization skills
  • Project management, lean six-sigma certification
  • Other HR toolboxes (e.g. Campus and self-learning modules)

People management skills:

  • Manage project teams
  • Coach junior team members through providing feedbacks to support the development and performance of the team
  • Drive and manage onboarding
  • Foster a team culture that encourages trust, open and constructive discussion of important issues

Requisite Education and Qualifications:

  • University degree in Engineering / Business Administration / Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant project management experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in Logistics, S&OP, Inventory Management within the sports goods industry
  • PMP and lean sigma certification preferred
