Responsibilities
- Work directly with owner to constantly improve public bidding process and program.
- Evaluate IFB's, ITB's, RFQ's and RFP's and make recommendation on what opportunities we should pursue.
- Aggressively and accurately cost our projects to keep costs as competitive as possible.
- Communicate with qualified subcontractors and suppliers to achieve competitive pricing.
- Evaluate sequence of work and scope of work to ensure costing and production are accurate.
- Work with InEight to create proposals.
- Work with in house BD and Marketing team to evaluate and pursue public civil opportunities.
- Evaluate results of opportunities to obtain information in making future decisions.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and submit questions to owner.
- Work with Operations team members to determine production rates for tasks.
- Hand off awarded projects to Operations team.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years civil estimating experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic math skills with understanding of material types used & labor/equipment resources.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam and/or Excel.
- InEight software experience preferred but not required.
