THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position fulfills the role of trusted advisor and liaison between the CEDC’s architecture team and enterprise team. You will manage and support innovation and solution architecture activities to maintain and evolve future state business capabilities with a focus on efficiencies; provide strategic direction on the modernization of our IT portfolio; manage and coordinate all aspects of solution architecture; and establish, maintain, and enforce new policies focusing on efficiencies and cost-effective solutions throughout the Delivery Center.

Your responsibilities will involve leading design architecture activities across delivery center business applications and technologies. You will also have the opportunity to create future state architecture and solution plans for supported agencies to facilitate IT modernization. Work will rely on research to make proactive recommendations for adoption of new technologies, as well as your experience in application development, API design, and enterprise software frameworks. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to two days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six years of professional information technology experience and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • Ten years of professional information technology experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must have experience in application development.
  • You must have experience in API design.
  • You must have experience in enterprise software frameworks.
  • You must have experience developing and executing technology roadmaps that align technical domains with long-term business goals.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
