Your Role

As a Processing Operations Engineer, you’ll drive process optimization, lead capital projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and troubleshoot equipment issues. Key responsibilities include:

Process Optimization & Efficiency Improvements

  • Proactively identify and resolve inefficiencies in the batch manufacturing processes.
  • Implement solutions to reduce downtime, improve throughput, and optimize kettle utilization.

Capital Projects & Equipment Upgrades

  • Lead capital projects to upgrade equipment and automate processes, ensuring projects stay on track with budget and timeline.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in safety, product quality, and cost efficiency.

Collaboration with Reliability on Equipment Downtime & RCAs

  • Partner with the Reliability team to identify root causes of equipment downtime and develop potential solutions to minimize unplanned stoppages.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment issues and drive actionable recommendations for improvement.

Project Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Lead projects involving process optimization, equipment upgrades, and efficiency improvements from concept through implementation.
  • Work closely with Quality, R&D, and Operations teams to ensure improvements align with OSHA, GMP, and FDA regulations.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all improvements meet regulatory standards and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of changes, improvements, and results to ensure transparency and compliance.

Who We’re Looking For

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical).

Experience: 3+ years in manufacturing, process engineering, or equipment reliability.

Skills & Abilities

  • Creative problem solver with a focus on practical, real-world solutions.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to all cross functional parties.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting and process optimization.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, GMP, and safety regulations in manufacturing.

Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
