What you’ll be doing…

You will be spearheading and mentoring a team of software professionals, overseeing the development and maintenance of scalable and efficient software solutions whilst directing the design, development, and deployment of software applications, utilizing SDN, React JS, Python, and AWS for telecommunication systems. • Supervise the implementation of DevOps practices to ensure seamless integration and automation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Guarantee adherence to industry best practices in software engineering, security, and performance.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure the timely delivery of projects.
• Remain up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in the software development landscape.
• Work closely with external teams to define release content and ensure growth of the platform to meet competitive demands.
• Lead and mentor engineering web and application programming interface teams through software platform releases, ensuring products are on spec, architecturally sound, and delivered on time.
• Support customers with major platform issues and coordinating triage efforts to solve them.
• Document and maintain architectural guidance to ensure performance and scalability of the platform.
• Adhere to industry standards and best practices and understand emerging technologies and trends to continuously improve the systems, application, infrastructure, and processes.
• Your work will help us to stay at the forefront of technology and positively impact the customer experience.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Software Defined Networking expertise: Strong understanding of SDN/NFV technologies and implementation into telecommunications domain
• Expertise in OSI Layer, Network device protocols, working experience with netconf, restconf, yang models
• Strong knowledge of network architecture, device models, and working experience with cisco, ciena, nokia, ericson and other network devices at all layers
• DevOps Expertise: Strong understanding and practical experience in DevOps principles and practices
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based applications development and deployments.
• Extensive Software Development Experience: Four or more years of people management and hands-on experience in the full software development lifecycle, encompassing design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Deep understanding and proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies, including: Back-End: Node.js, Python, Java; Front-End: React JS, CSS, JavaScript

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or technology streams.
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Proven expertise in authoring technical documentation and implementing DevOps practices.
• Experience with opendaylight
• Experience in Kibana, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Webscale
