Master Principal Presales Engineer - Oracle Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)

Oracle Government, Defense and Intelligence (GDI) is looking for a highly experienced Presales Solution Engineer (SE) to provide functional and technical support during the software sales process to Federal customers, with a focus on Oracle Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM).

This is a hybrid position that involves a combination of in-office work, time at the client site, and remote work based on demand. Candidate must reside in the VA/ Washington DC area.

As an SE at Oracle, you will:

  • Develop and deliver high quality Oracle presentations and demonstrations
  • Understand and articulate EPM best practices, advanced product features, benefits, and product future direction to our customers
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team and other SEs to communicate Oracle’s value to our customers
  • Interact with the product development organization as our products rapidly evolve
  • Act as a functional expert for less experienced SEs
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with critical stakeholders to expand our base of referenceable customers

Overview:

  • This is a full time, strategic, presales role working with Financial Management (FM) and Planning, Programming, Budgeting & Execution Process (PPBE) stakeholders and IT decision makers, as well as functional end-users evaluating Oracle solutions for their enterprise applications needs
  • The right person must be able to effectively communicate and engage with audiences regarding business challenges, mapping them to Oracle’s enterprise applications solutions
  • This is not a quota carrying sales role and does not involve any outbound or inbound sales prospecting; however, it does involve the ability to influence decision makers regarding their business applications, and the ability to act as an Oracle advocate during client interactions
  • You will have the opportunity to partner with our Federal customers to understand and support their mission and solve important real world business problems
  • Software and sales training will be provided as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • The best presales solution engineers have joined us from a variety of backgrounds: operations practitioners (industry users); systems integrators; pre and post sales consulting; trainers of Oracle’s applications products; business analysts; and users of Oracle’s applications
  • 8+ years of experience with EPM products
  • Understanding of unique Federal Financial and Budget Formulation/Execution requirements
  • Exceptional presentation skills are critical, both in person and with virtual tools such as Zoom

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from $52.16 to $95.91 per hour; from: $108,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
