Job Description

Commercial Operations and Omnichannel Technology Manager (m/f/d)

Location: Zug, Switzerland

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and open-minded Manager Commercial Operations, specializing in technical support and implementation of omnichannel marketing tools, as well as managing variable cross-functional projects. This role will play a significant part in designing, implementing, and maintaining new ways of working and using different channels of communication and customer engagement to impact the success of Gilead Sciences in the Swiss pharmaceutical market.

The Manager, Commercial Operations and Omnichannel Technology, will report to the Director, Commercial Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Omnichannel and Digital Excellence:

  • Advance the digital roadmap for Gilead Switzerland, educating and inspiring the organization to adopt and integrate digital activities into daily practice.
  • Serve as the omnichannel subject matter expert, advising the organization on utilizing digital and other channels to increase customer engagement.
  • Manage, plan, and review the operational effectiveness of campaign implementations, focusing on omnichannel, sales-force effectiveness, and new digital marketing methods.
  • Provide analytics for all channels and measure the impact of digital initiatives with actionable recommendations.
  • Interact with relevant international stakeholders and collaborate with a peer group of digital and omnichannel experts within the region.
  • Train and support the affiliate in new technology implementation (e.g., AI tools, new CRM systems, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
  • Act as a liaison manager to global digital IT from a local commercial perspective to enable efficient customer engagement.

Digital Tools Development and Maintenance:

  • Collaborate with business units for concept creation and lead the implementation of online marketing and digital engagement projects, including technical solutions like apps, digital platforms, and AI services.
  • Serve as the digital point-of-contact between headquarters and the local organization.
  • Administer CRM systems, including the implementation of new concepts and upgrades.
  • Implement and test new tools and functionalities of commercial support systems like Veeva, Salesforce.com and others.
  • Support the Director Commercial Operations with business analytics and strategic or cross-functional projects.

Qualifications:

  • Academic degree with an emphasis in Business Administration, Marketing, digital Media or communication.
  • Significant experience in the pharmaceutical or med-tech industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of omnichannel marketing and its technical support.
  • Experience in managing digital vendors and project teams.
  • Proficiency in using analytical tools and solving complex technical projects.
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects and priorities in parallel.
  • Experience in Sales force effectiveness is highly appreciated.
  • Proven communication skills, with the ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing in English.
  • Ability to recognize and interpret business issues/opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Full responsibility for the accuracy, reliability, and timelines of deliverables.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical and qualitative information to non-technical executives through interpersonal, verbal, and written channels.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills required, with knowledge of other tools appreciated (e.g., PowerBI, PowerPoint, Power Query).
  • Experience in administration and management of CRM systems (Salesforce.com) and SFMC is a plus.
