Job Summary
The Assistant Project Manager position is within the Smithsonian Institution's Office of Architectural History and Historic Preservation (AHHP). The role supports the management of the AHHP's Castle Collection (historic furnishings and art used in the Smithsonian Castle) and the Heritage Materials Inventory (historic building elements).
The Assistant Project Manager works with senior staff in the prevention of a variety of agents of deterioration: inappropriate temperature and relative humidity, light damage, physical forces, theft (loss), fire, water, pests, pollutants, and neglect.
Essential Job Functions
The ideal candidate will possess
Strong communication skills, collections management knowledge, experience with databases and digital photography, and the ability to handle and transport collection items. The role involves physical activity and requires adherence to safety protocols.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum requirements include a 4-year degree or equivalent experience, and 1-3 years of project engineering experience or at least three years of a Project Engineer or at least three years of construction related experience.
Base Salary Range: $93,000.00 to $99,000.00
The above salary range represents Lendlease’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards Lendlease provides to employees.
The base compensation amount offered to a successful candidate will be decided based on a range of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skillset, and education level.
