Job Title: Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Supervisor to lead approximately 30 production employees in an assigned Value Stream. This role involves training, directing, conducting performance reviews, educating, and mentoring employees on their performance. You will oversee daily production activities within the value stream(s) to ensure that current commitments are met while driving continuous improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor production employees in assigned Value Stream.
• Oversee day-to-day production activities to meet commitments and drive improvements.
• Manage daily performance using process center communication boards.
• Partner with human resources on employee relations to ensure accurate procedures and practices.
• Act as a change agent, driving out waste using Lean methodology.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, emphasizing prevention of potential hazards.
• Review and submit payroll hours weekly, entering exception hours as needed.
• Support new process and product development and implementation.
• Develop key improvement projects and fulfill related duties as needed.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through previous work experience, schooling, or personal hobbies.
• Strong interest in manufacturing.
• Ability to operate machinery and use hand tools.
• General production and plastic inspection knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Completed high school diploma or G.E.D.
• 2-year or 4-year degree preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• 1+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience managing automated manufacturing systems preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a very clean environment within an extremely large company that operates across three separate buildings in Anoka. Please note, the building is not air-conditioned. Employees work on an assembly line and engage in production activities. The company is smoke-free with no smoking areas outside the building, and since breaks are paid, employees are not permitted to leave the campus during work hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
