Position: Brake Press Setup
Location: Dresser, WI
Wage: $18.00 - $27.00 an hour depending on experience and shift
Shifts available:
- 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM
- Weekend Shift: Fri - Sun, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate brake presses to bend metal according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, bend maps, and work orders to determine material requirements and machine settings.
- Select and install appropriate tooling (tool and die) for each job.
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to ensure parts meet tolerance requirements.
- Adjust machine controls and settings to maintain proper operation and part quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production and efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Brake Press Setup required.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Understanding of various metal types and their properties.
- Ability to accurately use precision measuring tools.
- Experience with CNC controls and programming a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
