NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION:
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Tonja Williams Knight, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
Supervisor of Instructional Technology

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree, a permanent New York State teaching certificate, and a School Building Leader Certificate (SBL), School Administrator/Supervisor Certificate (SAS), School Administrator Certificate (SDA) or New York State School District Leader (SDL). It is highly preferable that the candidate have coursework related to instructional technology. The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and demonstrate leadership and interpersonal communication skills with all district stakeholders. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong collaborative, team-oriented, and flexible approach to partnered work as well as a deep understanding of the coaching role in an educational setting.
Candidates must have completed five years of approved and appropriate teaching in a school district, including the implementation of instructional technology. Prior experience in an administrative or organizational capacity in educational technology is preferred. In evaluating each candidate’s qualifications, consideration will be given to the candidate’s coursework and experiences in instructional technology, curriculum design, digital environments and creation of content for online learning. Knowledge of the New York State Common Core Standards and curricula, assessments, data driven instruction, Special Education, English Language Learners (ELL), ISTE Standards, and 21st Century Skills will also be considered in evaluating each candidate’s qualifications.

Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer and the Director of Instructional Technology, essential duties and responsibilities of the Supervisor of Instructional Technology include but are not limited to:
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following the assessment of training, experience, credentials, evaluation of service, program needs, and personal interview.
SALARY: Per Administrator salary schedule
