Epic Applications Analyst - Senior
Provides expertise and analysis to support Epic software implementation and operations. Collaborates with IT, Epic staff, and users to align EHR initiatives. Defines system scope, designs solutions, and prepares specifications. Responsible for programming, testing, debugging, documentation, and may oversee multiple projects or phases, including quality assurance.
Education and Experience Required:
Degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) and three (3) years of work-related experience (i.e. healthcare, clinical practice, information technology, accounting, finance, healthcare revenue cycle, clinical informatics, or Epic application build/optimization).
Certifications, Licenses, or Registration Required:
Epic certification or accreditation in at least one module (e.g. ASAP, Cadence, Willow, etc.). If not certified, must be obtained within 6 months after date of hire. Epic assessment required post-initial interview.
Preferred Qualifications:
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMSS), or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMMSS) a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to work independently or in teams in high-pressure, on-call environments with shifting priorities. Proactive, adaptable, and skilled in problem-solving, critical thinking, and creative solutions. Strong knowledge of clinical/revenue cycle applications and workflows. Proficient in PC/software use, communication (verbal/written), active listening, and stakeholder engagement. Able to manage stress, mentor others, develop procedures, and maintain documentation.
