Job Description Summary

The System Director of Consolidated Service Center (CSC) Operations & Inventory Control is a senior operational leader responsible for overseeing all physical supply chain operations housed in the MUSC CSC, including warehousing, fulfillment, receiving, fleet services, courier management, and enterprise inventory control. This role has accountability for the movement, tracking, and stewardship of all products moving through the CSC to MUSC hospitals, clinics, and procedural areas. A critical part of MUSC Health’s long-term logistics strategy, the CSC ensures standardization, risk mitigation, cost savings, and service excellence through centralization and scalability.

The System Director owns the health system’s inventory policies, cycle counting program, and physical inventory accuracy standards. This includes collaboration with finance, audit, and compliance teams to align operational processes with governance expectations. The role also leads emergency logistics response planning, manages direct sourcing strategies (disintermediation), and ensures fleet readiness for efficient internal delivery services. This position requires a strong operational command of warehouse technology, analytics, and health system logistics strategy to successfully lead one of the most complex logistics hubs in the region.

Job Description

Demonstrated success managing inventory control policy, cycle counting programs, and physical inventory in a health system setting.

Experience leading internal fleet or courier logistics programs, including route optimization and vehicle management.

Familiarity with ERP, WMS, and logistics analytics tools required (e.g., route planning software, handheld tracking devices, and mobile inventory tools).

Proven ability to lead warehouse-based operations through periods of transformation and growth while maintaining high service levels and audit compliance.

Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills to align operations with sourcing, finance, IT, and clinical partners.

Additional Job Description

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Healthcare Administration, or Business required; Master’s preferred. Work Experience: 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare distribution, logistics, or warehouse operations.
