Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing relevant instruction and hands-on training that are necessary to successfully operate a forklift in a variety of settings
  • Instructing students in the techniques of forklift operations
  • Ensuring all course documentation and reporting is completed in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Demonstrating and contributing creativity and real-world training scenarios

Minimum and Additional Requirements

To qualify for these positions, you must have:

  • Five (5) years’ operator experience
  • OSHA pocket card
  • Completion of forklift operator instructor development course

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree/certificate in occupational safety
  • Adult education training experience
  • Flexible schedule that allows for instruction during days, evenings, and weekends, and/or Saturdays
  • Ability to utilize technology
