Starting Pay Range: $83,000 - $90,000/yearly

Day Shift

The IT Senior Project Manager is responsible for effectively overseeing and guiding project teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines. With a strong focus on collaboration and accountability, the IT Senior Project Manager assigns responsibilities, delegates technical functions, and monitors progress across all project phases. Fostering clear communication and structured workflows, this role ensures the efficient execution of IT projects that drive business value and operational excellence.

What does a IT Senior Project Manager do?

• Ensures projects are managed to delivery schedules, budget schedules and support customer expectations. Provides assistance and support to lower level Project Managers in this area, as needed.
• Independently develops project plans, goals and budget, with input from subject matter experts; identifies resources needed, develops schedules and methods for measuring results. Assembles and coordinates project team members; assigns individual responsibilities and organizes and manages all phases of the project life cycle.
• Promotes policies/ procedure evaluations and development; and documents expected benefits (cost and savings). Coordinates implementation of procedure and policy changes to appropriate areas; and reports on expected versus actual benefits. Provides assistance and support to lower level Project Managers in this area, as needed.
• Manages the assignment and development of proper documentation, training and transition to the Business Areas, IT Operations and Customer Support staff for ongoing support and service for newly implemented systems and solutions.
• Independently prepares requests for proposals and conducts all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and products.
• Plans and oversees the preparation and dissemination of project communications. Communicates and interacts with Executive/Senior Management and Project Team members on status of specific projects. Produces project meeting minutes, project reports and project budgets as necessary. Provides assistance and support to lower level Project Managers in this area, as needed.

Work Experience

To be successful as a IT Senior Project Manager, you'll need:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field and/or the equivalent work experience of 10 or more years working as a Project Manager in an IT environment.
• Possess Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Possesses significant related experience analyzing problems, interpreting operational needs, and developing integrated creative solutions. Must be experienced providing technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of computer technologies.
• Must be experienced in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
• Must be an experienced Microsoft Project User: possesses expert level knowledge of management principles, practices, techniques and tools
• Must have proven interpersonal, communications and presentation skills.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• Experience in developing and maintaining strong working relationships with Business Clients, Information Technology Resources, Consultants, Vendors and Executive Management.
• Demonstrates leadership skills with experience directing project teams and/or subordinates.
• Must have knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.
• Demonstrates experience working with gaming and/or hospitality systems.
• Must have experience in managing multiple projects.

Some Desired Qualifications:

• Six Sigma Certifications.
• Previous experience with two or more Resort Systems.
• Project Management of highly complex or enterprise wide programs consisting of multiple projects.
