Job Summary

Our Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, supervises the operation, monitoring and maintenance of assigned facilities and related systems to include: HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) Plumbing and Electrical Systems. Supervises the maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of facilities mechanical components and electrical equipment and systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools. Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required to streamline processes and increase efficiency. Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve facilities processes.

Schedule/Shift:

Monday - Friday (weekends off)

3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Essential Duties

  • Serves as working supervisor for assigned personnel and instructs them of the daily work to be completed.
  • Develops work schedules and ensures adherence to company policy.
  • Monitors the performance of assigned area staff including any permanent subcontractors.
  • Consults with managers regarding any disciplinary issues and recommends measures to be taken.
  • Conducts timely, complete and meaningful performance management conversations.
  • Serves as a leader on the project and may be the point of contact for customers on site.
  • Plans and oversees the delivery of service to customers, both with actual hands-on work, and as a trainer for direct reports, client’s staff and other contractors to assure delivery of defined services.
  • Responds to facility service work orders from building occupants. Monitors, checks and evaluates the completion of major repairs and in-depth planned maintenance.
  • Responds to emergency calls, working with police, fire and emergency service crews to protect company property and employees.
  • Keeps records of safety, health and environmental issues each working day.
  • Ensures the work crew follows all company and customer safety practices and fully utilizes assigned Personal Protective Equipment each work day.
  • Performs a monthly quality and safety walk-through of the entire site with a customer direct report or as needed.
  • Works with the designated Site Safety Technician to initiate safety topics and ensure bi-weekly safety meetings are conducted and that the required attendance sheets are completed and on file.
  • Reads and provides interpretations to all compliance requirements, blueprints, schematics, O&M manuals and specifications to ensure standardization of work.
  • Covers defined shifts and performs maintenance and operational duties as required to assure contract compliance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Facility Maintenance Lead or Supervision experience
  • High School or GED is required.
  • Current EPA universal required.
  • Effectively able to lead 5-10 Facility Partners (4-5 per shift)
  • Comfortable supporting 30+ outlying buildings & 4-5 airport terminals
  • Proven experience as Facilities Supervisor or relevant position.
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize, delegate and control the work process.
  • Good analytical/critical thinking.
